Since 1857, the objects of UBS have been to provide lifelong friendship and financial support to isolated and impoverished older people in need without distinction of class, creed, nationality or sect. We support those aged 65 years and over, providing a lifeline to the most vulnerable elderly people in the UK by alleviating pressures of poverty and loneliness. Our beneficiaries become part of the UBS family, which gives them security and peace of mind whilst maintaining their independence.

We help people like Mr Bishop in Merseyside:

Mr Bishop

Mr Bishop was incapable of removing the heap of discarded household furniture that youths had piled up outside his house. The youths eventually set fire to the rubbish and Mr Bishop's house burnt down. Left with nothing, he was re-homed but the new house was cold and damp. He had only a second hand bed and sofa - no pillows, no blankets, nothing. UBS gave him some new bedding items and a grant towards his furniture.

Mr Bishop knows that he need never face those kinds of problems alone again.  UBS will support him for life.
